Upgraded from a 2x2x4 tent and a SF1000 + glow 30 to 4x2x6 tent and a SF4500 light. Just harvested first grow, still drying so no yield weight yet, but it’s will be good. My girls loved this light, never had it over 70% the entire grow, due to heat at the upper parts of the tent. Had a new 4″ exhaust fan in with it, so for the next grow, adding a 6″ exhaust, will use the 4″ for intake air. Had to learn not to put it on 100%, especially for germination. Accidently killed a couple of seedlings with the light too high. Never moved the light, stayed at the top of the tent the whole grow. Wall to wall coverage, no need for side or under canopy lights, this one is strong enough to get to all the buds.
Over thirty years I have been using 1000w MH and 1000w HPS waiting for LED companies to mature to produce units and the realistic data to back up their claims. 2022 I pulled down the old tech and up with a Spider Farmer SE 7000(8 bar). The heat problems of summer growing and buds bumping hot bulbs are no more. Better light coverage and no hot spots. 2024 I added a SF SE 4500. I’m happy and my girls are happy.
I have now been using it for a year in my 2×4 tent with amazing results. The light output is way beyond anything I had expected. Amazing wall to wall coverage with my plants absolutely loving it. This light is why I now use Spider Farmer exclusively.
