LED Grow Light

How close you can keep the led grow lights from plants?

Using led grow light for plants is a great idea if you want to grow your plants indoors. The truth is that in many cases you don’t have the time or even space to grow plants outside. This is why growing them indoors can be a great idea. Granted, you have much less natural light, which is why it makes a lot of sense to take your time and integrate led grow light for plants within your plant growth system. The question is, where should you place your plants to ensure that there are no issues? Let’s find out!

  • The ideal place to set up your lighting system

If you want to use a led grow light for plants, then it’s a very good idea to use it at around 12 to 30 inches from the top of the plant. The thing you want to keep in mind is that as your plants grow, this system will need some adjustment. As your plant grows, its light requirements change, so you can’t keep offering the same amount all the time.

With that being said, the ideal distance between plants and grow lights varies based on the plant type, how much ambient light you have there and also the lighting wattage. It’s close to impossible to narrow that down on the spot. A bit of a trial and error is needed, but you will be able to make it work.

If the led grow light for plants has a high wattage, then it needs to be further away from the plants. Of course, if the wattage is lower, then you need to move those closer to the plants. It does need some experimentation, but the experience can be a great one in the end.

If the wattage is under 400, then you have to keep this system between 12 to 20 inches. For up to 600W, you can go up to 30 inches. Up to 800 W means around 38 inches, and over 1000 W will be 36 to 46 inches. It’s a great idea to increase the distance the higher the wattage, just to avoid any issues.

  • Why should you use led grow light for plants?

The main benefit that comes from led grow light for plants is that they are easy to use and adaptable to your own needs. Not only that, but they generate less heat when compared to other lights, and you have a lot of incredible options. The installation process is also simple to go through, which makes it a delight to use every time.

  • Conclusion

As you can see, using led grow light for plants is very helpful and it delivers a lot of convenience. It works great, it provides a whole lot of value and results, and the experience can indeed be second to none. Avail this great opportunity and invest into some great LED lights, and you will be very happy with the results and how it all comes together. All you need is to buy the right LED grow lights, install them right away, and then just enjoy the outcome of your labor!

Hi, waiting for SF 300 to arrive and want to verify that for germinating seeds the height of light is (45-60cm)
18hr on/6 hr off. This model has no dimmer so I do not think the “SF Series Seeding 50%-80%” is valid?

    1. celia says:

Yes, the SF300 has no dimming function, but you can check the hanging height recommendations we have given in the product image

For a 4×4 what would be the better option, 2 sf2000 or one sf4000?

    1. Hi friend, generally, sf4000 is good for 4×4 tent, if you don’t have budget limit, SE5000 is a better choice. 🙂

I am growing in a 2×4. I have the sf2000 and I was looking for recommended dimmer settings. Also, I recently acquired the sf1000. Would it be beneficial to run both lights? And if so, what’s the recommended intensity? I’ve seen a few charts but they all look like bar lights and they say different distances than my user manual for the sf2000. But the manual doesn’t really say how to use the dimmer throughout the different stages. I’m new to all of this so sorry if this is dumb or redundant. Thanks for any tips

I have a question. Are these lights supposed to be on 24/7 inside? I have mine in a closed barn. This is new to me.

    1. celia says:

Yes, our lights can be on 24/7.

I am growing a marijuana plant for medicinal purposes. I have the spider farmer 2000 grow tent kit. My plant has grown to within 16 inches of the Light and I have the light as high as I can put it. If I turn the dial back to say 60 or 70%, does that just reduce the intensity of the light or am I reducing the full spectrum of the different color LEDs?

    1. celia says:

Reduce the intensity of the light
